Before Barcelona began stumbling last week, a semifinal date with Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey seemed a certainty.

Then, Barcelona surrrendered last-minute goals in a 2-2 home draw with Malaga in the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals and lost, 3-2, at Real Sociedad in a La Liga match.

But midfielder Andres Iniesta believes Barcelona will recover in the second leg match at Malaga Thursday, according to a fifa.com story.

"We're not thinking about being eliminated," Iniesta said. "We have to have the conviction that we're going to win in Malaga and be in the next round.

"Of course they could get through, we're playing against a team with great players, who are playing at home and have two away goals, but at no point have we thought about being knocked out."

Barça (55 points) has an eight-point lead in La Liga and is on a record pace for victories.
