Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored three goals as Paris Saint-Germain took a 4-0 victory over Valenciennes in a Ligue 1 match Tuesday.

Ibrahimovic converted in the 29th, 49th, and 54th minutes, and Ezequiel Lavezzi added the final goal in the 83rd minute as PSG (32 points) won for the third successive time in all competitions and moved within 2 points of league-leader Lyon.

Jeremy Menez and Javier Pastore were involved in the buildup leading to PSG's first two goals. The opening score was set up by a Pastore-Menez combination, a cross then cleared directly to Lavezzi, whose shot was blocked by goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau, Ibrahimovic scoring on the rebound.

Lyon (34 points) has a chance to stretch its lead against last-place Nancy Wednesday. This was PSG's third victory by a 4-0 score in four games and Valenciennes' first home defeat of the season.
