Real Madrid upped its home winning streak to 35 games, despite a Sergio Ramos red card.
Sergio Ramos produced a six-minute highlight show/meltdown as Real Madrid took a 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano Sunday.
Ramos scored the second goal in the 12th minute, then was ejected after receiving two yellow cards, leaving Real Madrid to play the final 72 minutes with 10 players.
Real Madrid (49) points remained in third place in La Liga, its home unbeaten streak increasing to 35 games (28-0-7) in all competitions and 24 games (20-0-4) in La Liga.
Alvaro Morata (third minute) and Ramos provided the goals. Rayo had a chance to tie after Morata's goal but Chori Dominguez shot wide.
Ramos was cautioned twice in a one-minute span, first for a foul on Roberto Trashorras near the center circle, then for handling on a cross near the penalty area.
