First-half goals by Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao provided Atletico Madrid with a 2-2 tie with Sevilla and a 4-3 aggregate victory in the Copa del Rey semifinals Wednesday.

Atletico will meet Real Madrid (which defeated Barcelona, 4-2, on aggregate) for the title May 18.

Atletico took the lead as Costa controlled a pass, then set up to shoot against three defenders, sliding the shot past Portuguese goalkeeper Beto in the seventh minute. Atleti then pulled back into a defensive mode, counterattacking through Costa and Falcao. In the 29th minute, Costa went to the end line on the left side, centering for Falcao to slot a left-footer for a 2-0 lead and a 4-1 aggregate advantage.

Falcao scored in his fourth successive contest, increasing his goal total to 21 in all competitions this season.

But Sevilla pulled within 2-1 as Jesus Navas sent in a shot off the inside of the right post in the 39th minute.

Sevilla attempted to rally in the second half, but lost Chilean midfielder Gary Medel to a 76th-minute red card. Ivan Rakitic scored in the first minute of added time, then Geoffrey Kondogbia was red-carded after a clash with Costa.
