Catalan broadcaster TV3 apologized for having produced a clip depicting Real Madrid players as hyenas preparing to hunt down FC Barcelona star, Lionel Messi.
The video features the likes of Pepe, Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos and Fábio Coentrão in a series of heavy fouls committed against the argentine. The Catalan TV channel's controversial clip led to a storm of criticism and they have now acknowledged that they were wrong to produce the film.
Madrid midfielder Luka Modric was one of many to voice his dismay with the film at a press conference on Friday, labeling the video "unacceptable", and TV3 has now opted to apologize for producing the clip saying that "we were wrong," as stated by TV3 presenter, Xavi Valls.
A number of reports have suggested that Real Madrid could take legal action against TV3, but the Santiago Bernabeu side have not released an official statement on the matter so far.
