In a match that was not controversy free, AC Milan took three valuable points in their visit to Genoa with a 0-2 win.

The first goal came in the first half  when Pazzini (22') opened the score for Milan just two minutes after suffering a slight discomfort and asking to be replaced. He found a ball floating around in the box and hit a strike with his wounded foot that turned into the 0-1 opener for Milan.

Milan would lose form after the ball, and Genoa would turn on its attack, but Mario Balotelli (60') would appear in the second half to up the score to 0-2 in favor of the visiting team with a right foot strike crossed to the left corner of the net after a beautiful assist from Colombian defender Cristian Zapata. This marks Balotelli's fifth goal in the same number of games for AC Milan.

Minutes later, Kevin Constant (65') would see the first red card of his professional career after receiving a foul from behind by Genoa's Cesare Bovo, and reacting with excessive aggression.

Milan was left with ten men, but that wouldn't prevent them from taking home the three points and remaining in third position for one more week.
