Kevin-Prince Boateng did not spend much time celebrating Milan's 2-0 win over Barcelona, switching gears to Sunday's game against Inter.
"Yessss, we did it," Boateng wrote on his Twitter account. "Proud of the amazing performance of the team. Now concentration for the derby on Sunday."
Boateng scored the first goal and Sulley Muntari the second.
"To win against Barelona is difficult," Muntari told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "This win is very important for us. We closed down Messi, for him it was difficult because there were always two or three players around him. Two Ghanaian goals? Yes, luckily, first Prince scored then me. Saying that, we are really concerned about the return leg. Now they going all out to win. But we can do it."
Said midfielder Riccardo Montolivo: "We played the game we prepared for, closing all the spaces and then counterattacking, which made us dangerous. Because they are a phenomenal team. The result was certainly unexpected, we were going against the strongest team in the world.
"We will go into the derby with enthusiasm. When did we really become a team? Maybe during the game at home against Juventus. Since then we have had more faith in ourselves."
